DR. SURUCHI Profile
Dr. Suruchi has an impressive academic background, successfully qualifying for the UGC-NET in 2014 and thereafter earning a Ph.D. from the P.G. Department of Law, Patna University, in 2021. Her doctoral research delved into ‘Legal Controls of Space Pollution with Special Reference to India.’ Additionally, she holds an LL.M from the P.G. Department of Law, Patna University (2011-2013), an LL. B from Patna Law College, Patna University (2008-2011), where she was honoured with a Gold Medal, and a B.A (Hons.) in Economics from Magadh Mahila College, Patna University (2004-2007).
As an experienced and dedicated Assistant Professor specializing in Contract Law, Environmental Law, and Procedural Law, among other areas, Dr. Suruchi joined Patna Law College in 2018 and has now been promoted to Assistant Professor Senior Scale. Her commitment to excellence is evident in her teaching, research, and academic service, where she actively fosters an engaging learning environment and contributes significantly to the advancement of legal knowledge.
Within her role at the institution, Dr. Suruchi has assumed the position of Nodal Officer of the Legal Aid Clinic, overseeing and coordinating activities related to legal aid services provided by the college.
Furthermore, she has made significant scholarly contributions, including the publication of articles such as “Sustainable Development: A New Approach Towards Mitigation of The Conflict Between Development and Environment through the Lens of Indian Judiciary” in the Indian Journal of Law and Legal Research (Volume IV Issue V, Page: 521-528, 2022, ISSN: 2582-8878, Peer Reviewed, indexed at Manupatra, Google Scholar, Hein Online & ROAD) and “Environmental Protection of Outer Space in Context of Space Pollution” in Global Thoughts and Opinions (edited by The Law Learners, page: 517-530, 2021, ISBN-978-81-947778-5-4, Peer Reviewed).
